Scenario 9: a FIFA Connect ID, a duplicate merge, the audit trail and the reversal. Govern on the FIFA Connect simulator. The pages exist on hosted (tickets 162 to 173); the mock shows them in the flat layout. Names follow the hosted seed: Luc Moreau (FIFA 1B7M4T8), Lucas Moreau, Noah Singh (88), Mia Laurent (72), Ava Chen merged, club Riverside FC.

1. The professional club enters a player; FIFA answers in real time

Riverside FC is flagged professional. On save, the registration form calls FIFA Connect getduplicates over the secure API; the simulator answers with a possible match in 21 ms (step 1).
The match shows beside the form: the existing person, the FIFA ID, the score. Two choices, one of them with a required reason.

Reason, requiredDifferent person. Birth certificate checked at the office; Luc is a cousin.

A new person gets a new FIFA ID. The pair is raised for national review, so Canada Soccer confirms the choice.

2. Override with a reason: a new FIFA ID, validated, and the pair raised

Force register asks FIFA for a new FIFA ID; a get call validates it (step 2). The member saves with the ID; a single-member duplicate run raises the pair for Canada Soccer.
The identity line of the member holds both facts.

3. The simulated FIFA Connect endpoint and its call log (Addendum A9)

A PowerUp admin page lists every call with the request, the response and the time (step 3). Mode Simulator, 20 ms response, Reset.
The same page shows the merge and unmerge calls later in the scenario.

4. Canada Soccer's Duplicate Members queue shows the pair with both FIFA IDs

The single-member run put the pair in the queue; a pair with two different FIFA IDs always goes to review and is marked FIFA merge needed (step 4).
The queue also holds the seeded pairs Noah Singh (88) and Mia Laurent (72).

5. Side by side, the survivor, a reason, and FIFA merges first

The administrator picks the survivor and gives a reason code and a note (step 5). For two FIFA IDs the NRS calls FIFA person/merge, reads the merged IDs back, and only then commits its own merge.
If FIFA fails, both records stay unchanged and the page says so.

6. The audit trail, and the reversal

The merge log holds the entry with the reason and both FIFA IDs; the Identity history tab lists every FIFA request and response with operator, time and reason (step 6).
Undo asks for a reason, calls FIFA unmerge first, then restores Lucas with his own FIFA ID from the journal (step 7).
